I met Ben in 6th grade when he invited me to his 13th birthday party! It was a dance party and he asked me to dance first! I thought he was the coolest thing, but by the end of the night he was "going out" with on of my friend. I pretty much liked him all throughout school. We dated in high school and then didn't speak again until November, 2007.
I had just moved back from Virginia and Tiffany and I went out to F&J's for some drinks. By the end of the night I was asking everyone in the bar if they knew Ben. Not one of my best moments! The next day Tiff called me with Ben's brother Joe's phone number. At first I was not going to call and then I figured what did I have to lose. I left Joe a message and Ben called me back that night while I was on a date with Harry Potter! I was so excited that I made up an excuse to leave. Ben and I met up at my new place in Phoenixville. I knew pretty much right away where things were heading!
August 10, 2008 Ben and I married at The Manor House at Commonwealth in Horsham, PA. It was the best day of my life, but the couple weeks before and the months to follow were pretty much a nightmare. Two weeks before the wedding Ben was in a bad car accident. He crutched down the isle and used a big blue boot for swimming and a wheelchair in JAMAICA. His ankle became infected and he underwent a total of 5 surgeries. We had home healthcare on 3 occasions so that Ben could have IV antibiotics. Shortly after our wedding his Mom passed away. This was not the way we expected to start our life together!
Today the sun is shinning a little brighter for us! On February 16, 2009 I found out that I am PREGNANT! We are more excited than I can express. Miraculously our due date is the year anniversary of Ben's Mom's death, October 18, 2009.
